Meet the Instructor

Antonio J. Agosto has been immersed in media since childhood. At just 6 years old, he began exploring the world of film, and by 12, he was already a certified producer through ‘Ōlelo Community Television. During his high school years at James Campbell’s Saber Media program, Antonio honed his craft while also stepping into the music world—competing in the state-wide “Brown Bags to Stardom” competition, which launched his early music career. He graduated with honors from James Campbell High School in 2010.

By age 16, Antonio was working in Hawai‘i’s music industry, building relationships with artists and learning the demands of live production. He went on to earn two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2014—one in Communications and another in Film from the Academy for Creative Media. He is now pursuing his MBA at Chaminade University of Honolulu while also stepping into the role of educator.

Antonio’s work spans both music and film. In music, he has collaborated with many of Hawai‘i’s leading artists including Maoli, Josh Tatofi, J Boog, Fia, and 4-time Grammy Award winner Kalani Pe‘a, and has toured worldwide with international acts such as Shaggy and Lecrae. His festival and concert coverage has also brought him behind the camera for global stars including Miguel, Wiz Khalifa, Stone Temple Pilots, Chainsmokers, Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, Ja Rule, and Ashanti.

In film, Antonio has served as a production assistant, sound technician, and film editor for countless short films and larger productions. His credits include major projects such as the hit TV series Hawai‘i Five-0 and feature films like Snowden and Jurassic World.

In 2015, Antonio co-founded Visionize Media with Sherwin Acidera, creating a company rooted in sports, weddings, and music. Since then, he has directed award-winning films, produced music videos, and created marketing visuals for artists across genres. Today, he continues to tour internationally as a filmmaker, photographer, creative artist, and tour manager, while mentoring the next generation of storytellers. His teaching blends technical skill with cultural respect, emphasizing professionalism, communication, and the value of moving like crew.
