Visionize Styled Shootout
Last week Thursday, we finally held our first styled shootout ever! It's not the first shootout that we had been a part of, but it’s definitely the first that we’ve planned, executed and captured film + photos. But this shootout is also the first of its kind, meaning it is NOT specifically themed to one genre (e.g. weddings, family, portraits). The Styled Shootout is a reflection of Visionize Media and what we offer to clienteles (e.g. Portraits, Fashion, Corporate, Weddings).
We had been planning the Visionize Styled Shoutout for over four months and to see everything come to life was fascinating. You really don’t know what the final product is going to look until just hours before it starts. But to see the vision that we had with the collaboration of the different vendors made this experience very easy going. We are just taken back by the vendors for collaborating with us and trusting our leadership during the process.
Prior to the Shootout, photographers + videographers were given a copy of a digital booklet that we designed ourselves. The Shooter’s Guide was used to introduce our Visionize Styled Shootout, guide them throughout our vision, showcase a glimpse of what to expect and inform them of various collaborators that were featured.

The week of the shootout had horrible weather. Oahu had Flash Flood warnings just days before the shootout and that gave us a slight scare. As we made our way from West to East Oahu, the weather started to shift and things we’re looking to go our way. We had slight passover showers throughout the event and it affected some of our outdoor sets, but nothing could stop our vendors from making our vision come together.
Once the shootout began, things went effortlessly. Sets were styled, photographers + videographers were introduced and models were camera ready. By the end of the shootout, we couldn’t believe how fast things went and we just wished it could have gone longer. We made new friends, gained new memories and crossed this off in our book of achievements. It was like the rainy weather throughout the week was just showers of blessings for all us!
